Billericay Town have announced the departure of manager Jamie O’Hara and assistant Paul Konchesky.

The management team leave with Billericay currently 15th in the National League South, with eight points from their nine matches in 2020/21 so far.

Former Premier League midfielder O’Hara joined the club back in 2017 as a player. He initially left in December 2018 but was back as player-assistant manager to Harry Wheeler a few weeks later.

The 34-year-old became manager last September.

A club statement reads: “The board would like to announce that following discussions earlier today, Billericay Town FC, Jamie O’Hara and Paul Konchesky have decided to part company. The club would like to thank them both for their contribution and we wish them nothing but the very best.

“In the next day or so, the club will announce the interim management arrangement and will start a comprehensive search for the new management team and we will be accepting applications.”
