A documentary film about Billericay Town’s three Wembley FA Vase wins in 1976, 1977 and 1979 is to be produced.

The film is to be 1 hour and 27 minutes in duration and is being put together by Rob Wisdom. A DVD is being produced and the film will be screened at the National League South club on 28th April.

The HD film will include restored original colour 16mm film footage with original sound recordings overlaid for the first time. Viewers can see all the Wembley goals again, while personal memories and stories are shared in interviews with manager John Newman and key players: skipper Arthur Coughlan, Town’s all-time 275 goals+ top scorer Fred Clayden, Wembley hat-trick hero Doug Young, Billericay’s longest-serving player John Pullin and big Geoff Aslett, scorer of the winning goal in 1976.
