Ebac Northern League Division One club Bishop Auckland have strengthened their squad with three new additions.
Former West Auckland Town striker Matty Moffat joins the Two-Blues after spell with Division Two club Tow Law Town and has had spells with the likes of Blyth Spartans, Gateshead and Consett during his career.
Moffat appeared in two FA Vase Finals during his time with West Auckland, leading the team out as captain in their defeat to Northern League rivals Dunston UTS in the 2012 Final.
Speaking to the club’s official website Moffat said “I had positive talks with Steve Riley and he explained what he is trying to achieve at the club, it really got a positive buzz back within me and this is something I have been missing for a while.”
“I really can’t wait to start the new season with a full pre-season I am confident the goals will flow. I already know a few of the lads at the club and they are very good players and top lads off the pitch, it will make integrating in to the squad easy. We all have the desire to work hard and achieve great things for Bishop.”
Cameron Wilson also joins the Heritage Park club, making the move from newly-promoted Stockton Town.
The twenty nine year old winger began his career with York City.
And the final addition is defender Luke Gilhespy.
He joins the club from Dunston UTS and has worked under new Bishops assistant manager Colin Myers earlier in his career.
