Ebac Northern League club Bishop Auckland have revealed that manager Steve Riley has signed up to lead the team until the end of next season.

Chairman Richard Tremewan commented “The club`s Board of Directors look forward to continuing our excellent working relationship with Steve and his management team. Steve is a real talent and is very clear about how he can continue to improve the Bishops’ squad.”

Riley joined the Bishops coaching team in 2013 as assistant to manager Martin Swales.

When Swales left the club, Riley became part of a management duo alongside David Bayles from March 2014.

That partnership end in September 2015 when Bayes left the club with Riley now as sole manager.

Since then he has brought in former Sheffield Wednesday professional Nathan Haslam as his head coach and together they have set about rebuilding the first-team squad.
