Paul Blackett believes it was a team effort as his injury-time equaliser earned Blyth Spartans a point against Farsley Celtic, writes Niall Bromley for blythspartans.com.

Ashley Smith-Brown opened the scoring for Farsley in a first-half the visitors just shaded before Michael Nelson’s half-time team talk sparked a superb reaction.

Blyth had their chances but it looked as though The Celt Army would hold on for three points until Blackett popped up in the 91st minute.

“I think it was more of a team performance, to be honest,” he told blythspartans.com.

“The team’s performance has given me the chance to go and try to get a goal.

“In the second half, we ran them ragged, so we definitely deserved something out of the game.”
