Blackstones have won their appeal against the decision to place them in next season’s Eastern Counties Football League.

The Step 6 side had been moved from the United Counties League as part of the Step 4-6 restructure.

Like Bourne Town, the club have been successful in their appeal against the move.

The club said today after the decision: “A great relief and outcome of a very unpopular and costly move.

“We can now get down to the job in hand of preparing for the upcoming season and showing off all our close-season ground improvements carried out by our gang of remarkable volunteers.”
