After the recent resignations of the Chairman and Vice Chairman the Great Yarmouth Town Management Committee Meeting convened at the Clubhouse on Monday evening.
The thanked Mike Guymer and Barrie Kell for their time and efforts with the Bloaters and wished them well for the future.
As a result of the meeting the Bloaters announced Kevin Cruickshank as the new Chairman of Great Yarmouth Town FC.
Cruickshank has been associated with the Bloaters for over twenty five years and has fulfilled various roles within the Club, including stints as team manager at all levels, and has been a loyal committee member for many years.
Ben Stone has been elected as Vice Chairman. Ben is the founder and CEO of our partner charity the Anchorage Trust, he brings a wealth of local community knowledge and we welcome him to the Club.
Cruikshank added “I am honoured and delighted that the Management committee have put their faith in me to be Chairman of this great club.There is lots do and myself and Ben are looking forward to the challenge. We have some great people at this football club and I am confident that if we pull together, we have a bright future.”
A statement on the club’s website read “There are also several new additions to the Club Management Committee as the Club looks to strengthen its position off the field. We look forward to making progress with a new-look committee and structure in place. The Club has seen some very dark days in the past and this exciting injection of new personnel, is a welcome boost for the Bloaters”
