Bishop’s Stortford boss Steve Smith is expecting big things from the Blues as they prepare for three derby games over the Christmas period.

The action starts at the ProKit UK Stadium on Saturday when Hemel Hempstead Town are the visitors and continues on Boxing Day with a trip to Chelmsford City before the Clarets make the return trip to Stortford on New Year’s Day. All three games kick off at 3pm.

“I haven’t had a chance to watch Hemel recently, but they’ll provide a tough game and have some decent players” said Smith before Thursday evening’s training session.  Click here for match preview

“I’ve spoken to a couple of people at Chelmsford about them, so we know what to expect, but we’re at home and we should be confident about the game.

“We have enough about us to get a result out of the game and then we can move on to Boxing Day at Chelmsford  in a positive move.

“We’re taking one game at a time, but we don’t fear either of the teams we’re facing in the next couple of weeks I’m happy with the squad we have at the moment. We have a good bunch of lads, and there’s a good buzz around the club at the moment.”
