For the third home game in a row Nuneaton Town face a team battling to avoid the drop as Worcester City head to The Coombe Abbey Arena on Saturday (kick-off 3.00pm).

On-loan full-back, Ben O’Hanlon, knows that it will be another tough test as we aim to extend our winning run to three games.

“I played against Worcester City earlier in the season and they were a decent side,” he admitted. “They have lost a few key players since then but they are battling hard for the points and we know that we are in for a tough test.

“Hopefully we’ll be able to put on a performance and get the points to continue our winning run.

“Last weekend’s game against Gainsborough Trinity was similar to the previous home game [against Bradford Park Avenue] in that had we managed to get an early goal it would have been a totally different story, but we couldn’t take our chances and ended up falling behind.

“This time, though, we changed the way we played after the break and even though the conditions were difficult, we managed to get the ball down and play and it led to an important win.

“I felt that defensively we restricted our visitors to very few chances, so hopefully we can do the same again at the weekend and take our chances at the other end to pick up another important three points.”
