Nuneaton Town’s highly-rated midfield man, Tom Elliott, is starting to establish himself in the Boro engine room under Tommy Wright.
The former Worksop Town man is ready to play his part in an important phase of the season as we look to embark upon another run of positive results.
“There’s a run of games coming up now where we face teams in and around us,” he said. “After going to Boston on Saturday it’s then three home games in a row, so it’s an important time for us to start picking up points again.
“We were all down after last Saturday’s game; we did okay in the first half and had a great chance to open the scoring, had that gone in it would have been a different game but we failed to take our chances and once Bradford got their noses in front, it was hard to break them down.
“But we’ve had a positive week on the training ground where we’ve worked on a few things and now we’re ready to go again at Boston.
“We know what we’re capable of; we’ve beaten some good teams and we need to get back to being clinical as we were whilst we were on our winning run. There was plenty of belief in the team then and we felt that we would score every time we went forward.
“It’s about being able to get back to that. We know that we have the ability here and there is no reason why we can’t go on another unbeaten run.
“I’ve been a regular in the team since the Gaffer came in and I’d like to think that I have done exactly what I’ve been asked and given a good account of myself.
“My progress was halted by injury earlier on in the season, but I have been pleased with my general performance levels and hopefully I can play my part in a positive end to the season.”
