Having already taken striker Joe Quigley on loan from Vanarama National League side Bromley, Jamie Howell, manager of National League South club Eastbourne Borough has also taken goalkeeper Sam Howes for a month.

Howes arrives at Priory Lane from Premier League Watford, where he is the under-23 keeper.

He joined Watford from West Ham United in 2017 and immediately went on loan to Hampton & Richmond Borough, spending the first half of the 2017/18 season in the National League South with the Beavers.

During his time in East London, Howes was named young Hammer of the year at the age of 16, and he has represented England at every international youth level from under-16 to under-19.
