Boston United will face League One Rochdale at Spotland in the FA Cup’s second round on December 1, following their replay win against Wrexham.
And Pilgrims boss Craig Elliott is delighted his side have the opportunity to test themselves against a side three divisions higher.
“You can comment now, It’s a League One team, a big game,” Elliott said. “I’m glad we’re playing them It’s the bigger game and bigger occasion.”
“We went to Wrexham last year as well (a 3-0 FA Trophy defeat).
“It should be a good day out and a big chance to get into the third round.”
Elliott will be leading a team out in the second round for the first time, and he’s desperate to cause an upset and see his side progress.
“I’ve not been there before and it’s a big occasion,” he said of Rochdale.
“When you get this close (to round three), we’ve got an opportunity to do that now. I can’t wait, bring it on.”
