Boston United’s forthcoming home fixtures against Kettering Town and Spennymoor Town have been postponed.
The National League North side’s game with AFC Fylde was postponed at the weekend due to a Boston player testing positive for COVID-19.
The Pilgrims were scheduled to entertain Kettering on Tuesday and Spennymoor next Saturday, but both matches will be rescheduled due to the positive case within the United camp.
Vice-chairman and COVID officer Neil Kempster said: “If it was a negative result, the (Fylde) match would have gone ahead as planned, but of course if the test result was positive, the 14-day self-isolation period will continue. As always, our actions will remain under review, and we will continue to respond to the developing situation.
“We will offer care and support the player through this period. Despite all our best efforts, the squad has been affected again, which underlines how this virus continues to affect all our lives.
“We have had a great start to the season and were looking for a good run of games, but we have to put the safety of everyone to the fore.”
