Pip Boyland has been confirmed as Tom Rothery’s assistant manager and head coach at Brightlingsea Regent.
The ex-Stanway Rovers defender was named player-coach at the start of the season but suffered a knee injury which has seen him sidelined for most of the campaign so far.
Rothery was appointed manager on Friday afternoon, replacing long-serving boss James Webster, who stepped down to join Aveley.
“Pip has done a fantastic job holding the squad together, with the help of Alan Wright (kit man) and captain Matt Cripps, in the period between James and the majority of his staff leaving,” said Rothery.
