Tranmere Rovers boss Gary Brabin feels that the support at Prenton Park can help his side secure a play-off position at the end of the season.

With eight matches left to play, Rovers still have five at Prenton Park, and the manager believes with the fans behind the team, that can only benefit the players in the push for promotion.

He told Tranmere Player: “We’re in the run in now and we have eight games left, five of them at home, really big home games, and we need our support 100% behind us now to be a part of what we hope is a big chapter in the Club’s history.

“If we can get everyone behind us for those last five home games, particularly, the players will give them everything they’ve got.

“We’re confident going into every game that we can get the wins and the points to get us into the play-offs and hopefully achieve our goal of gaining promotion.

“It is a really positive thing for the Club that we’re playing for something at the end of the season and the home games are going to be massive.

“If we can get the best of our support behind us for these remaining home games, then it’s certainly going to act as a 12th man for us.

“We’re still in there. In those last five games at home, we can affect it with that support. When they hear the fans behind them, it gives the lads a bit extra and will hopefully see us over the line.”
