Tranmere Rovers manager Gary Brabin was thoroughly satisfied after his side beat Bromley 1-0 at Hayes Lane.

Lee Vaughan’s 55th minute strike was the decisive factor in the game as Rovers picked up their fourth win in the last five matches.

He told Tranmere Player: “We deserved the points and it’s another good win.

“If you look at the last 15 or 20 minutes, it was certainly an old fashioned game where we’ve had to dig in.

“But if you look beyond that, the first half was as well as we’ve played this season. Coming in 0-0, you’re thinking we should be one or two goals up.

“So we were disappointed, but we started the second half with the same intensity.

“We created chances, fizzed it across the goal and next minute, Vaughan has got one and we’ve gone ahead.”
