Tranmere Rovers boss Gary Brabin is pleased with the strength in depth he currently has in his squad.

With Liam Hogan and Matt Hill both recovering from injuries, the manager has an almost fully-fit squad to select from.

He’s delighted with the options he has at his disposal and says all the players must fight to keep their place in the side.

He told Tranmere Player: “We’re in a strong position now with a good squad of players so there will be disappointed players on a Saturday. But that’s part and parcel of it because we want competition for places.

“We’ve taken our time in the recruitment of the squad to build a strong squad and we’re delighted with the players that we’ve got at our disposal.

“There’s a really good work ethic amongst the lads day to day in training. Yes I want players to be disappointed if they’re not playing, but I want them to respond in the right way and come back even stronger.”
