Brackley Town have given an update on the rebuilding of their clubhouse.

A fire last June destroyed the clubhouse, with work disrupted in recent times due to the pandemic.

The club have said: “Rebuilding the clubhouse that was destroyed by fire is a major undertaking. Great progress has been made in a short time; the shell of the building is up, it is topped out and it is water-tight.

“Once finished, we will have a new facility to be proud of and that will serve the club and the community well for years to come. Meanwhile the COVID situation continues to hold up progress when we want to be pressing on as fast as possible, but unfortunately, this is the picture across the industry at the moment and is understandable.

“Delays with contractors and suppliers mean that fitting out of the interior will now start in January. We are making some changes also to the design, in particular to the entrance, and getting the external works completed so we can move around the site more easily.

“We will continue to provide supporters with updates and in the New Year hope to have a more definite date for completion.”
