Havant and Waterlooville have changed focus this Saturday away from their current winning league run and onto the F.A. Cup with a visit to local opposition Sholing F.C.
Hawks manager Lee Bradbury shares his thoughts on this fixture.
‘A tough game for us, I went to see them earlier this week and they are a good side, we can’t be complacent and think all we have to do is turn up, as we will get turned over, they have only lost once at home in the league in the last year, so despite being a couple of divisions below us, we have to stay focused and work hard, we’ve set our standards quite high this season and we need to keep that going on Saturday.
They will be a tough nut to crack at their place, the match has a bit of the Portsmouth Southampton rivalry about it, so both teams will be well up for it.
‘To me the F.A.Cup is the best domestic cup in the world, historically the Hawks have had some exciting cup runs, my message to the players this weekend will be; there is no room for complacency, we know what we have to do, we need to go there get the job done and make sure we are in the hat for the next round.
Also financially a win on Saturday will secure £3,000 for the club, which for non league clubs is a lot of money. We have created some really good F.A.Cup memories at this club over the past 10 years or so, and hopefully we can create some more starting on Saturday.’
