Bradford (Park Avenue) are set to fall under the day-to-day management of Betfred Championship Rugby League Club, Bradford Bulls, in a new arrangement.

The Vanarama National League North club, who reached last season’s play-offs under former Bradford City man Mark Bower, say they have ‘required constant underwriting financially to fund our endeavours and that is not a sustainable model in perpetuity.’ This new move will see Bradford Bulls’ Damian Irvine oversee the day-to-day operational and strategic management of the football club.

The 44-year-old Australian has previously been chairman of rugby league team Cronulla Sharks back home, before working with Notts County and Wycombe Wanderers in a commercial capacity.
