Bradford (Park Avenue) manager Mark Bower will be absent from training and matches while he undergoes a period of self-isolation.

The National League North club confirmed yesterday that Bower had come into contact with someone who had tested positive for COVID-19, and would therefore have to self-isolate.

Avenue said the spell of absence is ‘yet to be determined’, as the club awaited results of a test on Bower, but this weekend’s home match with Leamington and next Tuesday’s FA Trophy game at Chester would ‘definitely’ fall under his time away.

Assistant manager Danny Boshell and player-coach Ryan Toulson will oversee first-team matters during his absence, though Bower will continue to pick the side while he is away.
