Bradford (Park Avenue) have provided an update on Mitch Lund’s head injury.

Lund suffered the injury during the weekend’s National League North game with AFC Telford United.

The club have said: “Mitch attended hospital (on Saturday) evening, along with our physio Tally, to have an x-ray to find out the extent of the damage. The results show that Mitch has sustained multiple fractures of the area around his cheek and eye socket.

“The injuries are such that they will require an operation, which will take place (Monday) morning. The whole club and squad would like to wish Mitch all the best for the operation, a speedy recovery and return to the first team as soon as possible.

“Good luck Mitch. We will keep you updated with further information in due course.”
