A number of Football League clubs, including Brentford are tracking Halifax Town winger Matty Kosylo, HITC Sport understands.

Kosylo has impressed again this season for Halifax with five goals and three assists in 15 appearances in the National League after scoring 12 goals in 35 appearances in an impressive debut campaign for the Shaymen last term.

The 25-year-old joined Halifax from Nantwich Town in the summer of 2016 after being named Evo-Stik Northern Premier League’s Young Player of the Season.

The skilful winger’s displays have not gone unnoticed higher up the football pyramid with scouts from a host of Football League clubs flocking to the Shay to cast an eye over the attacker.

Championship outfit Brentford are among Kosylo’s admirers having watched him in action on several occasions this season, while several League One clubs are actively monitoring his situation.

Kosylo’s contract at Halifax expires next summer and the National League side are bracing themselves for interest in the goalscoring winger when the transfer window reopens in January.
