Sutton United have completed the signing of striker Herson Alves on a month`s loan from Championship side Brentford, with permission to play in the Emirates FA Cup.
The 19-year-old has been with Brentford since 2012 and is the leading scorer for their B team this season with 7 goals in fifteen games, including scoring against Liverpool and Manchester United at Griffin Park.
Brentford`s head of football operations Rob Rowan said: “It wasn’t initially in our plans to send Herson out on loan as he has really improved over the past six months and contributes significantly to the development of those around him by the way he trains every day.
“However, Sutton contacted us and we agreed that it would be a good opportunity for Herson to be involved in some really big fixtures for Sutton, including their FA Cup tie next weekend. Hopefully he can contribute to some success for them over the next 28 days”.
