Lex Allan’s Premier League dream could be a step closer. The Sittingbourne defender plays in a friendly for Crystal Palace under-18s today and the Eagles want to see more of him.
They even put the 18-year-old through a heart scan on Monday and appear to be the front-runners should he leave the Brickies.
Palace were among a host of top-flight and Championship clubs who watched Allan in the 1-0 League Cup win over Merstham last week, with the 6ft 7in youngster impressing once again.
Brickies boss Nick Davis, who will be at Palace with Allan, said: “I spoke to the Palace scout for a long time and he said Lex has something you can’t teach.
