The Chairman of Bridlington Town has invited North Ferriby United to buy the club.

The invitation comes in an open letter in which Brid chairman Peter Smurthwaite alleges that their East Yorkshire rivals have broken registration rules when enticing players away from Bridlington. In the letter, Smurthwaite claims that North Ferriby have already signed four members of Bridlington’s first team squad in breach of registration rules and says he has evidence of two more approaches outside of the rules.

The Bridlington Chairman says he is now waiting for a response from the football authorities about the situation.
