Brigg Town have moved swiftly to appoint a new management team with Anthony Bowsley and Nathan Peat taking charge of the dugout for the Toolstation NCEL Division One side.

In a statement, the Zebras say they “wish them both well in their quest for glory and give them every support required.”

They added that they would like to thank former managers Scott Hellewell, Paul Grimes and Rob Watson as well as coach Mark McDonnagh for all their hard work and dedication and wish them every success in the future after they stepped down at the weekend.

Brigg have also given a huge thanks to reserve team manager Lee Thompson who stepped in to help out in Tuesday night’s league trip to Glasshoughton Welfare.

It has also been announced that the new management team will continue to work with experienced physio Ian Turner and that the news from the dressing room is everyone is staying around.
