Brightlingsea Regent manager Kemal Izzet has left the club.

The ex-Colchester United captain took over a year ago, leaving his role on the staff at East Thurrock United.

The R’s have taken four points from their opening seven games in this season’s Isthmian Premier Division, leaving them second-bottom at present.

A club statement reads: “Brightlingsea Regent have parted company with manager Kem Izzet

“The club would like to place on record its thanks to Kem and his staff for the service to the club and wish Kem all the very best in the future.

“The club is now working hard to install a new manager; any developments will be posted on to our website once known.”
