Ace Howell has joined Brightlingsea Regent after leaving Coggeshall Town.

Howell, who was a summer target for Regent Boss Tom Rothery, had started out at Needham Market, from where he earned a professional deal with Ipswich Town after impressing with the Marketmen.

Rothery said: “Ace will add something to us in the final third and has a different dimension to the other players in our squad. I feel his pace will be a huge addition to us and the fact that he has real quality with that is obviously another huge factor for him signing and again further strengthens our squad.

“His brother already being at the club will also help him settle in quickly and I’m expecting big things from him and I believe he could be that spark we need going forward. He’s only 21, so once again, I believe he is somebody that Pip and I can develop and aim to get the best out of him.”
