Barwell boss credits excellent start for victory versus Ashton United
Jimmy Ginnelly has hailed Barwell’s first-half performance after beating Ashton United to take their unbeaten run to six league matches.
The Canaries scored three times in a devastating onslaught on the visitors’ goal in the opening 45 minutes.
Barwell boss Ginnelly was delighted to see the side dominate from the early stages, particularly after highlighting this area as a weakness in recent weeks.
He said: “The first twenty minutes was probably the best we have played for a long time- an amazing start.
“We spoke about the importance of it all week because we’ve been starting games quite poorly.
“An early goal always helps because when we score the first goal, we very rarely lose.
“And we fully deserved to as we were like sprinters out of the blocks”.
