Bristol City will allow young striker Saikou Janneh to play for Torquay United in their FA Cup first round tie at Maidstone United this weekend

The Gulls are awaiting clearance from the EFL and FA before confirming that the 19-year-old Gambian-born forward will be in their squad for Saturday’s game at the all-weather Gallagher Stadium.

Manager Gary Johnson, who re-signed Janneh on loan last week after he had scored 18 goals for Torquay in his first loan last season, revealed: “Bristol City have given us permission to play Saikou, if selected of course, which is great news.”
