Richard Brodie is delighted to put pen to paper on a short term loan deal from fellow National League side York City.
The 29-year-old is also pleased that he is a part of a team that is looking to climb the table and get a play-off spot.
Speaking to mtfc.co.uk, he said: “I’m delighted its done it was something that I knew was in the background but then it happened all so quickly.
“It’s a really good feeling to be a part of a club that are going in the right direction; up the table.”
The six-foot-two former England C forward is York’s top goal scorer this season with five goals in 11 league games.
However, despite his impressive goal tally, Brodie has found game time limited at Bootham Crescent in recent weeks and is looking forward to getting some playing time.
“I’m really looking forwarded to getting back on the pitch because I haven’t played for York over the past couple of weeks.
“The deal is until the 1st January but I’m hopefully looking beyond that. But I can’t look too far ahead so at the moment I’m just taking one game at a time,” he explained.
Brodie could make his debut tomorrow against one of his former clubs Aldershot Town.
