Bromley are appealing for any information regarding an incident during this week’s FA Cup replay against Bristol Rovers.

The club say certain individuals ‘failed to conduct themselves in an acceptable manner,’ going on to explain:

This included somebody who appeared to be part of a group, deciding to launch a smoke grenade over a crowd of people and onto the field of play in the midst of Chris Bush’s goal being disallowed

Not only did this endanger fellow members of the crowd and club staff, but also those on the pitch. Furthermore, the missile has caused visible and significant damage to the pitch, which will now need to be repaired. The club have invested heavily in our facilities, including the installation of a 3G surface for use by the local community, young and old.

The device involved has been recovered. Images of the individuals concerned have been examined via CCTV footage and have been passed on to the police. The club are taking this incident very seriously and are working with the police to identify the individuals involved.
