Alan Julian spoke to the Bromley website following their 1-0 defeat against Tranmere Rovers on Saturday

He said “It was always going to be a tough game, the last time I played them was in a League One fixture so they are a huge club at this level with some very good players. After going in level at half time I thought we could come out second half and get the first goal but it wasn’t to be.

“It’s nice to receive the man of the match award but in all honesty I’d rather someone scored a few up the other end and won us the match and have them receive the award.”

Attention now turns to the Kent Senior Cup on Tuesday at Hayes Lane before a trip to Cheltenham Town.

“I believe you should try to win any competition you play in and this is no different. I’m not sure what sort of a side Charlton Athletic will bring but it will be a good game for us.

“Cheltenham is another club I played against in the football league. They are doing very well at the minute but I’m sure if we play at the level I believe we can then there is no reason why we can’t get the right result.”

Even in his relatively short spell with the Club the goalkeeper has been impressed with how far the Club has come.

“Another great crowd yesterday. The opposition we are now competing against shows how far the club has come and with everyone pulling in the right direction and lots of had work hopefully we can continue to grow and achieve together.”
