Bromley have confirmed the signing of forward Zavon Hines following his departure from Chesterfield yesterday.
The 29-year-old’s contract at fellow Vanarama National League side Chesterfield was mutually cancelled, with no pay-off, as Hines had expressed his desire to be closer to his London roots, with ‘family issues’ cited in the official statement from the Spireites.
The one-time West Ham United player has now linked up with Neil Smith’s Bromley, and his new manager told the club website:
“It’s been a very busy week on all fronts. It’s a fantastic bit of business for the club and there’s been a lot of hard work behind the scenes to get these deals done.
“Zavon is a top quality player with the experience we need, and did very well playing against us last week.”
