Defender Patrick Brough has joined Salford City on a one-month loan deal from League Two high-flyers Carlisle United which will keep him at Moor Lane until December 4th.

Brough, 20, first stepped up to the first-team ranks at Brunton Park at the beginning of the 2013/14 season, as cover at left-back and on the left flank, and has made a total of forty-nine appearances for the club so far.

Last season he had a loan spell with National League side Lincoln City, making four appearances in his month with the Imps.

Manager Keith Curle said: “Patrick is one of the players we’ve talked about who needs game time. He is desperate to be playing football and, with the way the team has been performing, the opportunities have been limited for him this season.

“He has continued to work extremely hard in training and this move will be good for all concerned. Salford are a good club who are looking to push their season on from what has been a decent start. Patrick will now get competitive football at a good level, which will benefit us and him”.
