Heybridge Swifts boss Jody Brown has acted quickly following Jack Barham’s departure to Tilbury last week.

Eton Manor front man Josh Sykes joins Swifts in fine form, having scored 24 times in just 22 appearances this season.

Brown added “I have been following Josh since he scored a hat trick at Clacton in the FA Cup early this season. I’ve watched him once in person, seen some footage of his goals, and also spoken to a number of people in the Essex Senior League about him”

“I was interested in Josh regardless of the Barham situation, but his exit has obviously made the move more viable to us. I look forward to working with him, and seeing how quickly he settles in”.
