Margate have confirmed the appointment of Steve Brown as the clubs new Assistant Manager.

The former Ebbsfleet United and Lewes Manager joins Nikki Bull’s coaching set up with immediate effect and will join the squad tonight when the Blues face East Thurrock United in their FA Trophy 3rd qualifying round replay.

Margate Boss Nikki Bull is pleased to have another pair of eyes and ears in the dugout alongside him.

“I am pleased that Steve has agreed to join us until the end of the season. We are all aware that this is going to be a long winter so for me to have another pair of hands and eyes in the dugout alongside me and Paul Barnes is important”.

Co-Chairman Designate Alistair Bayliss is also delighted that Brown has joined the Club to assist Bull and Barnes.

“I’m absolutely delighted that someone of Steve’s calibre has decided to join us here at Hartsdown Park. Although Browny and I go back a good few years, ultimately it was Nikki’s decision to bring him in as he recognised he needed an extra body to turn to in these difficult circumstances”.

“In my role, one of the most important things I can do is give the Manager as much support as I can so didn’t hesitate in passing on Browny’s details. He’s a fantastic person to have around the Club and a brilliant coach, all I can hope for is the two of them work well together in turning the Club’s fortunes on the park around”.
