EBAC Northern League Division Two club Ryton and Crawcrook Albion have appointed Peter Bryson as their new first team manager at the club.

Bryson is currently manager of Wearside League club Gateshead Leam Rangers and spent time with the Albion during his playing career, when they were known as Ryton FC.

A club statement said “The club were pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of the applicants which were whittled down to a shortlist of four before the final decision was made. Many thanks on behalf of the club to everyone who took the time to apply for the position”

Albion currently sit fourth from bottom in the Northern League’s second tier and face a tough trip to title challengers Team Northumbria on Monday night.

Bryson’s first home game in charge of the club will come on Saturday 28th January when they host another title contender, Billingham Synthonia, at their Kingsley Park home.
