Gateshead defender Nathan Buddle has completed a 28-day loan switch to former club Blyth Spartans this morning.
The deal has been in the pipeline since the two clubs made contact at the beginning of the week, Buddle set to make his second bow for Blyth away at Halesowen Town on Saturday.
The 22-year-old made 83 appearances for the Croft Park outfit during an 18-month stay, starring in their run to the Third Round of the FA Cup last term.
Buddle has figured 16 times for the Heed since joining from Carlisle United last summer, scoring three goals.
He has started just once under new boss Neil Aspin, however, completing 90 minutes in last month’s FA Trophy win over Stocksbridge Park Steels.
Aspin is hopeful that Buddle will get some game-time under his belt in the next month, as the Spartans prepare for an important period in their promotion push.
He said: “I feel that he needs to play games, and he hasn’t been a regular starter since he has been at Gateshead.
“At his age, and at this stage of his career, sitting on the bench every week isn’t going to do him a lot of good
