Barrow AFC managing director Andrew Casson says the club is set to undergo drastic changes on and off the pitch.
In a lengthy statement to club supporters, Casson says his dad and club owner Paul will not be investing as much money into AFC in the future. Casson says the Bluebirds need to change from being a club that “exists off external investment, to one that runs off the revenue it generates.”
This means there will be cuts to the playing budget ahead of the 2018/19 National League campaign. Casson also says plans to rebuild Holker Street have been scrapped, while any future ground improvements will be carried out with the help of volunteer support.
