Hereford FC signed central midfielder Theo Wharton ahead of today’s 1-0 defeat at Vanarama National League North leaders Bradford Park Avenue.

Wharton was on the bench as the Bulls ran the leaders close at the Horsfall Stadium.

A St Kitts & Nevis international, the Welsh-born central midfielder started out with the Cardiff City under-23s.

He made two appearances for the first-team, coming off the bench in FA Cup games against West Bromwich Albion and Macclesfield Town during the 2012/13 season.

He joined Weston-super-Mare on loan in 2017 before signing for York City on a one-year deal, spending time on loan with Tamworth.

The 24-year-old, who has also represented Wales at under-17, 19 and under-21 level, signed for Nuneaton Borough in July.
