Hereford defender Ryan Green has set his sights on winning four titles on the bounce after the Bulls were presented with the EVO-STIK League Southern Division One South & West championship silverware on Saturday.
The veteran Welsh defender – the winner of back-to-back championships with the Bulls after winning the EVO-STIK League Southern Division One South & West championship with Merthyr Town – is already targeting a fourth title next season when Hereford enter the top flight.
The 36-year-old, who arrived at Edgar Street in 2015 after kicking off his career at Wolves and has also turned out for Torquay, Millwall, Sheffield Wednesday, Cardiff, Bristol Rovers ad Port Talbot and Merthyr, told fans he wants to stay on board and help Pete Beadle’s champions secure another title.
Green said: “It’s been a long, hard season, but to win it is fully deserved. I’ve won three leagues on the bounce now and hopefully I will get a fourth.
“It will be a tough season next year, the Southern Premier is a very difficult league with teams similar to Taunton and Tiverton, but we’re looking forward to it. We need to strengthen again, but the base of the squad is there.”
After being sent off against Evesham United towards the end of the season, Green is suspended for two more chances to add to the club’s trophy cabinet, Saturday’s ‘Champion of Champions’ play-off match at home to EVO-STIK League Southern Division One Central champions Royston Town and May’s HFA County Challenge Cup Final against Hereford Lads Club.
