Chester FC have brought in striker Jason Gilchrist on loan from Championship side Burnley.

Gilchrist, 21, missed the start of the 2015/16 season after suffering a broken ankle in a pre-season game at St Mirren.

He returned to training in early November for the Clarets.

The young striker, who has yet to make his competitive debut for the Clarets, spent time on loan at Droylsden in 2013 before joining Accrington Stanley, in 2015, where he made his Football League debut.

The highlight of his Burnley career so far has been a memorable hat-trick against Manchester United at Old Trafford in the FA Youth Cup in 2012.
