Interim Hereford player-boss Josh Gowling has brought in an experienced manager as his assistant, with former Kidderminster, Chester and Northwich boss Steve Burr arriving at Edgar Street.

Gowling played under Burr whilst at Kidderminster Harriers during a spell that culminated in Harriers finishing second in the National League.

Speaking to the official Hereford FC website, Gowling said: “I’m delighted that Steve has agreed to come in and help out.

“I wanted someone who I know in the game, who I can trust and who I can bounce ideas off.”
