Andy Garner has had his say on Marcus Dinanga’s permanent move from Burton Albion to Telford United, Derbyshire Live report.
The Brewers academy graduate signed an 18-month deal at the National League North side on Friday after the clubs “reached an agreement” on a transfer, which is understood to include a sell-on clause.
Dinanga bagged 59 goals across the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons while out on loan at Matlock Town and Telford, before a less successful stint at Hartlepool United in the National League for the first half of this campaign.
“It’s a hard one, it’s a very difficult one,” said Brewers first-team coach Garner of Dinanga’s move.
“We felt he wasn’t quite up to the standard that we required. He’s gone out on loan and he’s had mixed seasons with people on loan.
“He can definitely score goals, that is for sure.”
