Despite the current injury crisis at Bury Town, there was some great news on Saturday as Joe Carden made a return to the pitch after nearly a year out with an ACL injury.

Carden was injured at Aveley on 23rd February 2019, not long after signing for the club from Soham Town Rangers, and has spent almost a year recovering.

Manager Ben Chenery said: “It’s great to have Joe back in contention for us. He only played a few games for us after signing and was a real big loss to us.

“I know how hard he has worked to get back to fitness, but we’ve got to make sure we ease him back into things and don’t rush him.”
