Macclesfield Town have announced the signing of former Port Vale winger Ryan Lloyd.

The winger has agreed a two-year contract at the Moss Rose and becomes our fifth new arrival of the summer.

23-year-old Lloyd is a graduate of the Port Vale youth system and comes with plenty of National League experience following time on loan at Tamworth and then two spells with Chester.

He made 18 appearances in total at Vale Park but has spent most of the last two seasons on loan with Chester.

Lloyd, who can operate in a wide left role or central midfield, made a total of 63 National League appearances for Chester scoring three goals in the process.

The 23-year-old will now look to continue his development in the new-look Silkmen side for next season.
