Stratford Town have made four new signings ahead of Saturday’s big kick-off.

Darren Byfield has added Wilson Carvalho, Lewis Wilson, Josh Cooke and Jamie McAteer to his squad. Wilson Carvalho is described as ‘a pacy, attacking winger whose previous clubs include Kettering Town, Corby Town and Port Vale.’

Lewis Wilson, who has previously played for Northampton Town, is ‘a highly versatile player equally comfortable in defence and in midfield and has impressed in our pre season games.’

Josh Cooke is ‘a powerful centre forward who has played for Wolverhampton Wanderers youth, Swindon Town and Cheltenham Town and has made a real impact in our last two pre season games. Josh will initially be loaned out to Wolverhampton Sporting for a short spell.’

Jamie McAteer is spoken of as ‘a commanding centre back who exudes leadership qualities who played for Bedworth United last season and has previously appeared for Barwell and Coalville.’
