ibFans of EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Prescot Cables made international headlines on Tuesday night when they celebrated a cup final goal so wildly they broke a fence at Volair Park!

Craving silverware in the Liverpool County FA Senior Cup final against Southport after another tough season in EVO-STIK NPL First Division North, supporters brought the fence if not the house down when they pilled forward to celebrate their second goal in a 2-0 triumph over the National League outfit.
As UK publications from the Daily Mail to Four Four Two and papers and sports sites around the globe reported, thanks to the combined effort of fans, stewards and team-mates after his 68th minute strike, goalscorer Andy Scarisbrick was quickly pulled to safety and the fence pushed back into place before Cables held on for a famous win!

The story was picked up by the media after fans among the cup final crowd of 905 posted video of the celebrations on Twitter with a video posted by @nevs44 receiving thousands of views within hours.
